I am an astronomer by training. During my studies I started my training in programming which has allowed me to implement physical and mathematical data in my projects. Since then, I haven't lost my curiosity and the need for continuous development and I continue to grow in data implementation. For the past 16 years, I have been offering private lessons in computer science and programming to students from different age ranges, with different interests. I tutor elementary as well as high school students and also help with projects for portfolios or at the end of bootcamp. I prepare for end-of-course and student exams. I currently work free-lance with companies, start ups and schools offering online classes. What do I offer? I always try to understand how a person learns and how they work, as each person has their own individual way. I am a Software Engineer and I have 10+ years experience in both small and large companies. I have worked with Cloud Computing for most of my career and Security as it relates to Cloud Software for half of that. Languages: Java - Scala - C# - Android - IOS Science: Data Structures, Algorithms, Databases, Networks & Security I am happy to discuss other languages or subjects you need help in if they don't appear here. I can hopefully teach it or reference you to someone who can. I have given grinds on and off my whole career. I usually work with undergraduates but I have worked with Master students and professionals on specific subjects. I am willing to travel to local universities if you have classroom/lab space for the session. Otherwise I usually use Zoom for my sessions. Approach: I have a student driven approach to grinds. I start our initial grinds with a conversation about what the student wants to achieve, where they are stuggling and how they would like each grinds sessions to go. Some of the approaches I have taken in the past are: - Straight from the book chapter to chapter. - Studying and answering past exam papers together. - Going through Lab Work the day after to understand and improve. - Focusing on 2 or 3 specifics that the student is stuggling with. - Reviewing project work and design suggestions or a deep dive after the project is submitted. (I will not provide code for project work)
